Back in 2003, Local Celebrity got the idea for the t-shirt biz at a music festival in rural Illinois. They were rocking out in the middle of a cornfield when inspiration struck them like heavy metal thunder, Lets ditch our jobs and start a t-shirt company! So, thats pretty much what they did. Packed their bags and headed west to shack it up at Grandmas ranch in San Diego. After a long road trip, a few brainstorms, and a couple dozen high fives they came up with the first set of designs- and thats what started it all. It wasnt long before Grandmas ranch couldnt handle the goodness Local Celebrity was schlepping out so they moved their operation to a fun little warehouse in a glamorous part of downtown LA known as Skid Row.
